Many Rs are against huge spending.

Not any R's I know. Sure they preach fiscal responsibility to their base because it sounds good but geez hasn't that ship sailed? As for it being "brilliant", remember, this is the self-proclaimed "King of Debt" we're talking about here. Him spending money without paying it back is his M.O.

Republicans = borrow and spend

Democrats = tax and spend

Pick your poison.

So when McConnell says he is against spending money we don't have you transform that into "borrow and spend'? He specifically says he doesn't want to borrow.... and to you that means he wants to borrow? Thanks for your deep insight....

Don’t pay attention to what politicians say, pay attention to what they DO. How did McConnell pay for their massive tax scam bill?

Father in Law---- 77 years old.....
He is itching to get back to work

Damn your father in law is a beast! There are people 50+ years younger than him who would rather sit on their asses all day. I hope I have the same zeal as he does when I'm his age.

Major props to him! ✌️

LOL @ thinking it takes any kind of deep insight to see Republicans for what they truly are.

The truth is both parties spend money but only one party likes to pay for it. If it were up to democrats, we'd bring back the top marginal tax rates of the 50s before Ronald Reagan created the biggest economic myth in the history of our country...that tax cuts pay for themselves.

The annual deficit will surpass 4 trillion dollars very soon. So much for winners and losers. So much for the disdain of socialism. Oh NOW it's okay to give free money to non-essentials?

I say run up as much foreign debt as possible and then default on it and go back to the gold standard.

Retirement is a modern concept.
Before the mid 20th century
people on farms never retired,
they worked till they died. They
were always doing something
useful on the farm. As we
became more urban the idea
of not working after a certain
age became popular. Most
people find being useless and
playing golf and watching game
shows not to be much of a life,
though.

Harlan Sanders started KFC in 1952
at 65 years old when he got his
first SS check. He started it in
his gas station diner and sold
the company for millions in
his 80's. He never retired, he
did TV commercials and was
the company spokesman till
he retired.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

What you do not understand is that back then there were lots of deductions. Credit card interest was a deduction. If you want tax increases to "cut the deficit" they will have to be broad bases. The bottom 47% have to start paying. The middle have to pay more. The "rich" who you hate so much simply are too scare.

What I do not get is why you are saying this. You and the left were so upset when Trump raised taxes on the "rich" last time?

Wanting someone else to pay 50% when you do not is the height of greedy and selfish.
The President is a fink.
