Saying someone is on the dole is NOT an insult. It comes from after WWI when the gov't was 'doling out' unemployment benefits. Definition of on the dole. : receiving money that a government gives to people who do not have jobs. They've been on the dole for a year. They're going on the dole. Doling out means: distribute, dispense, divide, deal, dole out mean to give out, usually in shares, to each member of a group. distribute implies an apportioning by separation of something into parts, units, or amounts. Nothing insulting about it. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Yea I agree, absurd any outdoor activity had to close in the first place. Still trying to figure out why our state and county parks are closed. |

Unemployment numbers are historic His beloved President signed into law the benefits I am reaping and yet he/she chooses to misquote. weird. Not really offended. Just bizarre. Rule 17 Misquoting: If you quote another member, do not remove, add, or change any wording within the portion quoted. If you wish to emphasize a particular part of the quote, any formatting by the one quoting should be disclosed immediately after the quote.
