On the flip side, just got my 2nd 600 a week direct deposit unemployment supplement to the state check. Loving life not working and making good scratch. Played golf yesterday on a weekday. Love it as generally nobody ahead or behind so we can play at whatever speed we want :-)

I am very jealous of you. Neither myself nor my wife have got stimulus checks, It has been five weeks and haven't got any unemployment, and most importantly all of the golf courses here are still closed. I am really hoping the golf courses will come back in phase one of opening.

Seems I am one of the rare individuals that got thru the FL unemployment system and got approved
A coworker that lives nearby just called me. Her status is still pending and she applied before me
Our FL online system is very confusing. I think her issue is that on the question "Are you currently looking for a job" she answered no because technically we are waiting to be called back to work. I answered the question Yes because I thought better chance my unemployment application goes thru.
Still waiting for 1200 stimulus. Filed last year but only provided address for check. Filed this year and provided Bank info.

I am surprised golf not open in NV. Its a very socially distancing sport. Courses here have changed the rules. Separate carts unless a family member. Holes adjusted so don't have to remove the pin to get your ball. No touching of the pin. Rakes removed. Clubhouse closed, desk set up outside to checkin golfers. Pay online so when you arrive at course, identify yourself and grab a cart, easy.

Due to a severely unbalanced budget by Trump, we will pay for it generation after generation crippling our future economy.

The last time we had a balanced budget was 2001. The budget was Clinton's last and Republicans controlled Congress.

I am not saying that today's spending is "just fine"; only that we have been over spending for a long time. It didn't start with Trump. Truthfully, I don;t think either party will stop it. With some of the things Democrats are proposing (Nancy floating the "UBI" type stuff, for example), I think they will want to spend more than Trump will.

I wonder what it will take to get any group of politicians powerful enough to balance the budget into power...

It will never balance. It will keep growing until the USD collapses. At that point it is over for the USA.

Our golf courses were following those rules before they closed them down. I think it was just political or peer pressure.

Someone called the police on local golfers and the township made them shut everything down

You mean some rat called. Too many busybodies. But it shows how people turned each other in under the fascists. Calling because someone is playing golf, not bothering you? Scary.
