I was in 2 different casinos the last night they were open on back to back nights. I will be in a casino the first day it opens if travel is allowed by then. I don't have a casino where I live with any table games so I might not be able to get there. There are some Indian casinos open in Washington state now I would drive to, but the border is closed. I am not going to live in a fear without social interaction. To me that kind of living for the rest of my life is worse then death. I will leave it those that are younger to create a new society, I don't have the energy and will leave the world when our existing society ends.

I’ll be at a casino as soon as one opens around here. I understand the risk and accept it.

I suspect it will be a while before the Detroit casinos open, because, well Detroit has been hit hard. Those are about a 40 minute drive from me. There is a casino in Toledo that is about a 50 minute drive (hate that casino but I’ll gamble there if I have to). That one will probably open first.

And of course I will go back to Vegas as soon as feasible. I have a trip booked for the weekend of June 20th. Not sure if it will happen but I’ll go if enough places have reopened by then.

Something we can agree on again ams. Once the border opens and Las Vegas is open I will be there. Maybe we could meet, think of the fun we could have with a face to face discussion about Trump.

Ed... I feel very sad for you.

What's sad is somebody makes
a prediction and everybody
falls for it. There will be mass
gatherings again, and very soon.
Just wait, you'll see.

Trump just said something that will get a lot of headlines and was very dumb.

None of us know the status of the supposed investigations by the IG that was canned. IGs get canned all the time by administrations. That doesn't mean their work or investigations go away; it just means they weren't a fit for the political appointment they were filling. Perhaps it would be better to can all of them upon arrival.

Trump's mistake was to downplay the thing about walking the dog. Even though it may not sound like much to him, given the other stuff a Secretary of State does, it still isn't a permitted use of a government employee and, if true, should at least be a cause for reimbursement of all costs and a nastygram saying don't do that crap again. It could lead to a firing, or more, of the SOS.

Sometimes, questions should be referred to others to be answered or simply say "the investigations will continue and we will see what the results are"...

Very soon? Already! Look at the bars in Wisconsin. A lot will depend on number of deaths in Wisconsin, Florida, and the other 'open em up" states in the next few weeks.

Trump continued: "I don't think Obama knows where he is, you know, in a lot of ways." (Not clear if he was trying to make fun of Biden being confused and then mixed up Biden's name with Obama's.)

Michigan's upper peninsula and northern lower peninsula are being opened more.

That in itself is fine. The people that will now travel there from other parts of the state is not so good for the people that live up north.

Why not so good? If the lockdown works so well they have nothing to worry about, right?

No.

Remember when MI’s governor got a lot of criticism from the idiots on the right who criticize her every move for trying to prevent people from traveling up there to their second houses when MI was getting hit hard? There is an insufficient health care system up there to handle a surge in cases, which is why she didn’t want too many people traveling up there earlier in the crisis.
