I'm curious about your own answer though -- without your belief are you saying you would hurt people for great benefit. That's the ONLY REASON YOU WOULDN'T DO IT? I hope not. I hope that's not your answer, because that would be sad.

Again, the GS has no power to do anything.
It has no center, it has no personality, it has
no will. It's not a god. Some tribes would pick
a random tree, proclaim it the center of the
universe, and worship it. Very smart. If the
universe is indeed infinite, any spot you point
to is the center. I know you just can't stand
people having no punishment for sins that
don't exist, but that's an issue you just have to deal
with.

You don't even need to have the same definition of decency because it really boils down to yourself. Your witty comment aside, it is abundantly clear that thank God many good people who are atheists, like yourself do not let their lack of belief in God guide their moral decisions.

That would be sad and don't worry that is not the case. My faith only strengthens the God given conscience that we all have and that mercifully allows you to ignore your atheism when making moral decisions.

Thank Lucifer my lack of belief in any gods is a consequence of my moral value system.

I don't know about god given. You can bring up your children in a life of crime, and not all of them will be as you want. Likewise you can train them all to be upstanding citizens, and you still can get a different result with some even with best efforts.

Not sure what is god given about that.
