The quote I posted is from a Catholic cleric.
A catholic cleric is:

"A person who has been legitimately received into the ranks of the clergy"

Get it? He says the Church is bigoted.

This is what I have been saying all along. Can you point to ONE quote or statement where I am saying anything condescending or condemning to homosexuals? You have made up your mind that the Church is against you and you are not listening to reason or me. The Church is basing its teaching on nature, the complementarity of males and females, that children are best raised with a mom and a dad, and the importance of being in an exclusive loving covenant of the Sacrament of marriage. Can you argue with any of these points without resorting to just saying I'm being mean or the Church is wrong?

Well, suppose I wanted to open an adoption agency that would place children only with fit parents, which would preclude placing any kids with an observant Christian couple.

Would you call that discrimination and bigotry, or religious freedom?

Bob I suggest you take an objective look at our exchanges. You are reading something into my comments that is simply not there. I know the written form of communication is not the best in determining attitude and tone but I assure you there is nothing condescending to you or Nareed in anything I say. Maybe you are challenged by what I say or it doesn't fit with your preconceived notions of the Church or maybe you are scared of the truth, I don't know and I wouldn't dare to say what you are thinking. However if you want any example of condescension and outright meanness look no further than your own posts. If you can't handle discussing these issues in an intelligent way I suggest you might want to stop. However, I sincerely hope you and Nareed can stop with the accusations and just deal with the debate at hand.

What if you really believed that and the government said you had to send adoptions to Christian parents that were married with a mom and a dad?
