Not all smokers are like that at all. I'm certainly not.

Lol, you all think that. Buddy Hackett thought he was
doing the best work of his life when he smoked pot
every day in the early 50's. He got off it for 6 months
and realized he was treading water and never touched
it again. I really hate to use this cliche, but they call it 'dope' for
a reason. It stalls your brain, it doesn't enhance it.

If marijuana is legalized nationwide, I say we go all out and legalize everything. Why not?

I think it's comical whenever libs portray people who oppose legalization as being overly judgmental, yet they do the EXACT same thing to people who want to legalize other drugs. Freakin hypocrites.

Heck AZ, I've met the guy. And, his old lady.

That is a pretty astute observation about them being nearly malnourished. It would seem they would all be overfed having the munchies all the time, but I have seen the look you speak of.

I don't know all I think I do about druggies. I always think methheads will be skinny but many are not? However they are toothless.

In this guys case my thought is he was skinny because he was a major drinker as well. My guess, and it is a guess, is he got his caloric needs from the booze but no nutrition form it. If meth was around back then like now I have no doubt he would be hooked as he fit the stereotypical white male from smaller town profile of that.

I just have heard the excuse sometimes from parents how their offspring could have been somebody if they wouldn't have taken to mj. I call bs on that, plenty of people are very productive on their drug of choice. I once worked with a heroin addict. I thought his work attendance would be terrible. It turns out just the opposite, it seems he couldn't afford to miss a day. He was also a fearless worker. Scared me a couple times.

Someone might think this odd but if I could trust an ex-methhead not to rip me off I would hire them to do some housecleaning, I hear they are meticulous.

A good point that some are productive and some are not. Another stoner I knew through my brother regularly worked 50-60 hour weeks, but he had the stoner thing going so he could never get a good job as he could never pass the dope test. He ran two businesses into the ground, losing six figures total. But that was because he was an idiot at retail not because of dope. He never progressed past the $10-12 an hour career level. His parents had cash and his mother still does. Hopefully they set cash aside for his special needs brother because the guy is going to be a guy who inherits a house he cannot support and slowly slide to being barely able to rent a trailer.

Plot twist: I was drinking when I wrote that.

I love it when potheads use alcohol to justify the legalization of marijuana.

Yet if a meth head comes along and tries to use marijuana to justify the legalization of meth, I can GUARANTEE you that most potheads will reject that argument...............which is no different than their own.

Gotta love the hypocrisy. *facepalm*

Every pothead I've known will tell you
it has no effect on their career or home
life. It's the classic delusion the drug
causes. The only careers that pot enhances
are in the rock business, because that
biz encourages drug use from everybody
involved. You never hear a top CEO say
he got where he is by smoking reefer
every day.

Famous, pot-smoke CEOs:

Richard Branson (Virgin Media)
Peter Lewis (Progressive Insurance)

The latter claims to be a functioning pothead, and also claims that pot has helped him tremendously after having his leg amputated. The former says Keith Richards taught him to skin-up.

Just to say for every rule, there's an exception.

And W, who I think never exhaled

And, Obama also known as "Choom-boy"

Not really profitable ceo's but did ok for themselves.

You're living in a fantasy world if you
think these guys spend part of every
day taking hits off the bong. Pot use
on a daily basis shuts down the creative
part of the brain, it doesn't enhance it.
Again, and I'm really sorry, it's called
DOPE because it makes you dopey,
not brilliant. Duh..

I smoked it almost every day for a year,
and it was weak knee'd granny grass
compared to what they smoke now. I
quit because I got tired of turning my
brain into creamed cheese for a few
hours. It got boring and childish, time
to move on. People who choose not
to move on have serious issues, they
have a major disconnect..
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
