Drone standards might be going downhill. No longer do drone pilots need to be real pilots and I have heard they will soon no longer be officers and instead enlisted if the later has not already happend. Are drones seen as just a big video game were you report to an office park for work next to the place selling meat door to door?

Remember when they made the controllers more like the x-box controls and our guys picked up on it really fast?

I would think it more prudent even in places like Syria to use drones and not pilots. Drones can withstand much more g-forces and losing one is a lot cheaper in manpower and equipment.

As far as the bad guys coming here, we inspect around 5% of the containers that come from abroad. If our enemy's wanted to send a bomb or bio warfare, it is sitting here somewhere already. The Iranians already have one of our advanced drones and have reverse engineered it.

The Chinese are probably making them by the thousands for a tenth of the cost. What are we trying to do other than world hegemony?
