Nope, not internally anyways. The Saudis still have boatloads of cash and will keep buying themselves off for a few more years. Same as in the USA, when teh government hands out freebies all kinds of behavior will be tolerated.

Russia "allowed" us to destroy Libya, but no longer trusts the USG. I think they have drawn "a line in the sand" with Syria. War has always been the answer to country's that have so debased their currencies, that natural demand won't rehabilitate economy's. IMO

I think the story about Iran wanting to wipe Israel off the face of the earth is propaganda that is being used by the UK in hopes of keeping their feet in the door
for Iran's oilfields. If BP gets control of Iran's NG fields, the conflicts in the ME and Syria will stop within days.

Much the same reason as we'll probably hear of rebels or terrorism in Xinjiang [northwest] China, incorporating militant Uighur's.
