don't remind us.

Sad you can't find anything more useful to do.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Pay no mind skeptics, just a coincidence.

"on record" ... how long have they been keeping records? It is summer down there.

We should be expecting records being set about everywhere, IIRC no one measured temperature accurately till about 1880 [all time lows are still being set*], and it is not disputed by hardly anybody that we are in a warm climate phase similar to the unexplained 1930s.

I'll accept that it is data, but I won't accept the alarm.

*then the phrase 'global warming' is dropped and it becomes 'climate change'

I think this global shutdown should be an interesting experiment in our war on climate change. Or if you don't believe in climate change, it will be an example of the lack of importance of human consumption.

I think variance trumps any reason if this year is colder or warmer, but it certainly will be the subject of a lot of scholarly papers. I wonder which ones AZ will believe? I wonder which ones ams will believe?

I always trust my entomology son to scour the papers and tell me what to believe.....

I do not believe it will make any difference in any trend. Even if you believe in GW you cannot believe such a short term thing would have any effect.

during 9-11 when the airplanes were all ordered down , there was a claim it lowered temperatures. Apparently the Brits observed an opposite effect in 1944, with an opposite condition of a big air raid [more planes in the air rather than less]

The question in the OP is more complicated, since presumably CO2 emissions are down now - what is that effect as well, can it be measured?

The pandemic may do little to affect the climate change arguments, but at least the science for infectious disease is unlikely to be defunded anytime soon.

And I would hate to be wrong about that part of it. And If I am, it would probably indicate humanity is too stupid to live anyway.

if we don't get smarter what happens when we get a real pandemic?

yeah, I'm being provocative, but I swear it's remarkable how clobbered we are getting buy the lamest thing of it's nature that could have possible come around. <1% death rate? that's lame
