It's because being offended at the President who represents you is a syndrome of derangement, but being offended by some city you don't live in or haven't visited in decades is being an active citizen or such.

Listen dolt, I grew up in NYC, went to college in NYC, went to Medical School in NYC, visited NYC an average of 3 times a year from 1990-2020, have close relatives and a few friends that still live there, still have a home in the same State. So you just like to make shit up? What would make you type ‘haven’t visited in decades’? Just enjoy being an uninformed jerk?

I also care about NYC because it is the economic center of our country. And in some ways the ‘face’ of our country.

Probably a little. I should remember that no single politician affects ME that much. I really do think I just won’t be going to NYC in the foreseeable future, and Mamdani’s election probably has very little to do with it. I just think it’s sad that a blatant anti-Semite has been elected Mayor. He’s packing his appointment officials with anti-Semites.

I may drink a glass of port tonight to assuage my MDS.
