If there, leave as soon as possible. High risk of bombings, violence, robbery, kidnapping, riots, assaults, rape, fire…yada yada yada…” "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

Americans have been warned to stay out since the 1970s. Why anyone would want to go is a question. Nothing left there but disaster. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

There is a lot of things I would like to see in Lebanon. I definitely wouldn't go right now but I hope to in the future. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

All those Haitians in the US are nothing to worry about, though. Once they step foot in America, all that stuff disappears. Even if your community has 20,000, you'll probably feel like it's a couple of hundred model citizens. The next generation will have somebody running for President, no doubt. Haiti never had a chance. But it has gotten much worse since the 2000s. Earthquake or Hurricane I forget what. Americans wanted to help, then the charity-industrial complex got there. Gave away food and clothes, and destroyed what was left of the local economy. People adopting Haitian kids thinking they were doing good. But down there it does not work like up here. People check their kids in and out as they have to, but the kids can be adopted if they are there. Almost as if you put your dog in the kennel while on vacation and someone adopted it while you were gone------but with your kid! The charity people made it a long-term gig. Haitians got fat off the change in diet. I worked a gig for Haiti and we saw a movie on it. Good intentions suffocating the place. It would be best if Haiti returned to being a French colony, for 50-100 years. Institutions need to be built. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Israel is not a ‘real soon’ kind of foe. They will pick the time and place that best suits their goals. The targeted assassinations, exploding pagers, land incursions into Gaza, and now Lebanon, are all done on Israel’s timetable. Not the enemy’s. Not the USA’s. Not the world’s. Does Iran have an ‘Iron Dome-like’ system or when Israel launches its 200 missiles most will hit their targets in Iran? |

I would expect Israel to use a lot more bombs dropped from planes and not as many missiles. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Despite an $18 billion endowment, Columbia receives $1.2 billion a year in public funding from grants supposedly for 'research'. Since the school doesn't have to spend it's own funds on research, these grants allow the school to spend more on tuition aid. It normally costs $90,000 a year to attend Columbia, but most students receive a financial aid package of $74,000. If their family's income is less than $150,000 tuition is free. |

It's called freedom This protected by the 1st amendment Protesting is as American as Apple Pie Why do you think the founding fathers made this right numero uno Not 2, not 3 not 10 It's the number ONE right of US citizens On the flipside I'm in Arkansas. The flags here are half staffed today. I think it's absurd to have half staff for a foreign incident not involving an attack on primarily Americans. It cheapens the honor when it's about politics instead of honering Americans. Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |
