They should have used the money we sent them to turn gaza into a total welfare state to destroy them. War is way more expensive. Not the way I'm thinking of. You need aid that can't be turned into weapons. Like building homes. sewars, roads.. Supplying free utilities and water. Free transportation around the city. Fresh food delivered person to person. Not large amounts that can be sold off. And probably other ways I haven't thought of. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

I am not sure how this disproves that Hamas is the elected gov of Gaza? I didn't even think this would be a controversial point. |

It’s not disputed. The elected government of Gaza, Hamas, has a stated goal of the destruction of the state Israel. Terapined showing that many Israeli’s want the hostages back at any cost is not surprising. It’s not that they care about the murderous Palestinians, who just put bullets in the heads of 6 captive civilians. It’s just that they are thinking that they would do anything to get the remaining hostages home. They do not care of the long term consequences of not finishing the eradication of Hamas. I can understand both sides. I am surprised that Israel hasn’t agreed to disfavorable terms to get the hostages freed. And finding (or making up) some loophole later on if it feels necessary to re engage with Hamas. |
