Do you find much differences between the sandwich shop brands as far as taste goes?

I probably get a sandwich from Subway once every other year. In my limited experience I haven't found much difference between Subway, Jersey Mike's, and Firehouse Subs. I am very basic and just get an Italian with meat and cheese only. In my opinion they have all been about the same.

I would definitely notice the difference between Jersey's mikes sandwich and Subway. But not sure if it's taste exactly. Never had a firehouse. Do you ever get subs made at the Publix deli counter?

I do not. I don't eat sub sandwiches very often and from what I have seen most of the deli sandwiches at the supermarket have stuff on them that I wouldn't eat (ie. lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc). I just eat meat and cheese.

Their packaged deli sandwiches are only one way, but the actual deli counter sub is custom made for you just like the sub shops.

pretty much what I do anyway tho usually don't get onions, might get those yellow peppers or not. They are right there waiting for you to tell them what you want [not unusual of course]. I always say "lightly" for the oil and vinegar to keep them from getting the bread soggy
