NBC released its latest national poll results. I don’t think anyone would call NBC News a right biased organization. They have Trump and Harris tied at 48-48. When they allow for 3rd party candidates they actually have Trump up a point. For Trump to even be close to Harris in a national poll is a terribly poor news for the Dems. I forgot which source, but read Trump is ahead of Harris in MICHIGAN even after his stump speech making fun of Detroit! My local tax bill just came due. Big increase from last year. NYS totally Democrat controlled. (My area is slowly seeping to Democrat run). Just had my fall sprinkler service. Up 30% from last year. Snow plow contract came. Up 20% from last year. The Dems can shout from the roof how ‘inflation is slowing’ but the damage has already been done. America is aware of the disaster of Democrat policy fueled inflation.
If it wasn’t for the millions who will vote solely for a Democrat because of abortion, this would be a route like we’ve never seen. And that’s with the Republicans having a lying, felonious, aged, generally despicable candidate!

They really are just going to try to hide from any non-scripted events till Nov. 5th.

Trump has taken up the tactic of promising a tax cut to essentially anyone in the audience he is speaking to. If talking to waiters no tax on tips. In a senior center? No tax on Social security. At a car dealership? No tax on car loan insurance. Talking about expats registering to vote? Reduced tax for those living abroad. Talking to captains of industry? Lower corporate tax rate.
He saw Harris’ plan to snag votes by promising undeliverable tax cuts, and in pure Trumpian fashion, has multiplied the stupidity.

I would make a law, if broken, punishable by life in prison, that if you make a tax cut promise you have to make either a corresponding tax raise, or a specific spending cut.

That is not luck. The same person doesn’t win Powerball every week, and he doesn’t go on to found a “mighty empire.” Washington’s life simply defies reason.

Even so, despite this evidence that there’s more out there than reason can account for, I could still cling to my faithless rational world without crisis—until Butler. In what universe does an assassin’s bullet, from just 100m away, merely graze the ear of the most controversial, most vilified, and ironically, for many, the most beloved president in history, drawing just enough blood to give it authenticity, rather than the story-ending horror of a direct hit, while being live-streamed to the world? Answer: none.

There is no universe where this can happen. Whether it was Zeus himself who guided that bullet or God who had Trump turn his head, it seems undeniable that there are forces at work we don’t understand. These forces have plans for Trump, just as they had plans for Washington.
