Can’t argue with you that letting the focus on Trump, presently the worst candidate in history for a variety of reasons, rather than on her generally horrible platform, is good strategy. She can only scream abortion abortion abortion the rich are bad the rich are bad the rich are bad so many times. She is a generally bad candidate, but gets to shine because she is compared to Trump.

You avoid things you don't think will help your campaign.

Her inability to do well in interviews made her, or her handlers, leery of allowing her to do them.

She is only doing them now because she, and/or the campaign folks, has decided that it was better than not doing them.

Okay. She didn't do interviews because she pretty much sucks at handling questions in any setting that is the least bit adversarial. This is not limited to Fox; she would not do them with anyone for a while.

Afraid. Leery. Scared. Incapable of avoiding word salad.

Whatever.

I still believe that the same thing I stated earlier--the candidate replacing the old guys has the best shot at winning the election.

That doesn't mean that she is a good candidate.
