It's still somewhat amazing to me that if we could get everyone in the country to cooperate almost 2 years ago for 21 days (and probably less, because the transmission phase is usually less than the course of the full disease) we could have knocked this dead, or down to very small manageable pockets.

Makes me hate humankind actually. When some people say the human race needs to die, I feel sympathetic.

And no, it doesn't require to live like the apocalypse has occurred. Many of us have been able to function while avoiding the virus. I would call everything I've done more a giant inconvenience that I do dislike than a horrible way to live. And no I wouldn't want to make it a permanent lifestyle, but it's far from an apocalypse to be safe. Far, far, far. easier than many things that will occur to people throughout their life.

No. The whole population cannot just hide at home. There is an economy that has to run. Work that has to be done.

I'm over halfway gone; I think. Every minute longer something takes is the closer to permanent it becomes, from my perspective.

Yes, I think the restaurant should have the choice, but "the economy" is far more than that.

You cannot just shut grocery stores for 3 weeks. You cannot just shut farms for 3 weeks. You cannot shut power plants for 3 weeks. You cannot stop oil wells and refining for 3 weeks. You cannot stop the US Mail for 3 weeks. You cannot shut off the water plants for 3 weeks, cannot stop the chemicals that come to them for 3 weeks. You cannot stop the financial markets for 3 weeks. How many more things?

You simply cannot tell a nation of people to hide at home for 3 weeks. Too much needs to be done.

People die, that's life. Learn to deal with it.

You can kind of shutdown the farms if nobody wants the milk. When that happens, thousands of gallons of milk get poured into the drain on a daily basis, as did happen.

Wow. I would never ask you to figure out how to do any of those things safely since you seem incapable of it.

Literally. dining in restaurants, is the only challenge I've heard, as it's hard to eat with a mask on. Probably getting a haircut. But you could do it with a proper N95
