Update. The relatives from Canada, the wife of the brother is in the hospital with covid. Her blood oxygen level is supposed to be 94 and it tested at 80. All of these people in the van have college degrees and good jobs or are retired from good jobs. They are all furious with the government and the media for making them feel safe by getting vaccinated. By making them think they were protected and could mingle with people who potentially had: covid. They never fooled me for a minute. It was all way too easy. I said as long as people are still being hospitalized and dying of covid I ain't going anywhere.

I started to type the question into Google and only got a couple words before it gave me the answer I wanted to know.

"When oxygen levels become low (oxygen saturation < 85%), patients are usually intubated and placed on mechanical ventilation.Jun 8, 2020" Scary stuff.

So far no because it was held outdoors. It seems most people get covid from being in close quarters with someone who has it. Like in a car or an elevator or an office cubicle or in a home situation

I'm glad that you had such wisdom, but frankly I despair that all those smart people in the car had interpreted the government and media as telling them that they were safe mingling with covid spreaders. I see no such message.
You are in mortal danger if you mingle and are unvaccinated.
You are in less danger if you mingle and are vaccinated
Nowhere have I seen
You are in no danger if you mingle and are vaccinated.

Here: Have some actual numbers...
https://www.businessinsider.com/delta-variant-covid-vaccine-effectiveness-protection-pfizer-moderna-astrazeneca-2021-7?op=1&r=US&IR=T

Your car load of smart people should have been furious at the coughing, infected, unvaccinated one, who probably wasn't even masked.

They all had the actual data available to analyse for themselves. But they seem to have chosen some sort of anecdotal 'Bah! go for it, you will be fine' from some miscellaneous site or sites.

If you don't know by now how an individual can avoid contracting the virus with a high probability of success in the outside world, why don't you ask SOOPOO or any other reputable medical professional? And listen this time.

Ever hear Sean Hannity tell how a store in NYC he shops at has no employee incidents of contracting the virus.

If you're reading critically, you need more practice.

There's very few jobs where you couldn't work with such measures. Even in some of those you can still use limited measures.

This is not an answer. You said we needed to get the country to "cooperate for 21 days." With what, exactly? What measures would have knocked the virus down in 21 days? How does one shop scale up to the entire nation?

You don't? I hear constantly that you will be safe with the vax. That 99% of the people with covid now were unvaxed. The mere fact that the whole idea of a vaccine is you are safe.

The message they are giving is clear, get the vax and you are safe. Don't bother posting a ton of stats as it does not matter, that is the message being put out.

US states had very different mask mandates yet the states are quite consistent in the percentage of people who have had Covid. If we pick 11% of population having had Covid than 38 states are within 20% of that figure. Most of the outliers are smaller and more remote states. Given the wide variety of shut downs and variety of mandates we would expect a lot more difference in numbers between states if the measures were highly effective.

I am not sure if that is true. Other factors may be far more important than mask rules. Beisdes the states with lax mask rules were often the ones with low death rates.

only an idiot would believe you are safe if you got vaccinated. most people realize that you are safer if you got vaccinated.

to me it is like saying you are safe driving if you wear a seatbelt. no, you are safer.
