The stats I used Paco are the cases / million on Worldometer by state. Up to date to July 28. Google Covid Worldometer if you aren't familiar with the site. They update the site on a daily basis and have almost every country in the world. If you click on USA it will bring up the data by state. It is in excel so you can order the data by any column by clicking on the top of the column. If you haven't been on it before be prepared to go down the rabbit hole.

I am not surprised that you go for the "no-brainer" solutions. Those of us with brains usually prefer more thoughtful solutions.

God forbid a new and dangerous virus ever starts out in Trump country. They’ll all be screaming about the government forcing them to do something rather than follow basic precautions.
