Since I've hijacked this thread I'll try and get it back on track. My wife just got her tax refund for 2019. So IRS clearly has her info. As a part timer, she made less than $75k last year. So should qualify for the $1200. Went online to 'check your stimulus payment'. It basically said.... "Don't bother us. If you qualify you will eventually get it."

My sister works for a summer camp. Over the course of the year she interviews hundreds (thousand?) kids/young adults to get staff for the camp for the summer. She is one of 8 full time employees that work year round, the 400 or so she hires of course only work July and August. If camp is canceled the owner is out 7 figures. He needed these 8 employees, legal, accounting, mortgage, capital upgrades, supplies, advertising, insurance, real estate taxes, maintenance, etc...

She does not know if they will be allowed to open, and if so, how many kids will be allowed, or how many kids will come even if allowed. For the last many years they have filled up, turning kids away. She has taken phone calls from parents, and few are in the middle. "No way I can send Johnny this year, sorry!" to "This is so important for Johnny to be able to go this year, I pray you are open!"

I think I will love to golf early,

Early for me would be 2 pm. I never
golfed without drinking, why would
anybody drink at 8 am. Golf and
beer go hand in hand. Without
drinking golf is pointless, why
bother. Golf is pointless anyway,
it's just an excuse for most men
to get away from the fam..

I've golfed in 100+ in Vegas. And rarely also that "cloying I can't breathe humid 87" as well. Both are better than 50 degrees and sloggy course in Buffalo. I think I will love to golf early, finish up and sit in my lanai having an espresso martini periodically jumping in the pool. Then go out and way overspend for a nice dinner with my gorgeous wife. I'm looking forward to that being my new normal.

Today was a wonderful day of golf here. Was done with our round at 10:am came home and jumped in the pool. Winds were about 20, but not too bad for golf Now the problem is what to do the rest of the day..

I played golf from 1969 to 1984. It
just got too crowded and too expensive
and very hard to find a friend to
play by that time. Golf was always
a social event for me. Friends
and beer good times. Always an
afternoon event.

In the 80's it was getting too crowded
for me. Wait and play, wait and play.
Screw that.

Aren't you the guy who camped outside of scientology headquarters and spied on them with binoculars?? 🤣🤣🤣

I'm playing Thursday. Never crowded on the weekdays. Now that I am retired, never consider playing on a weekend.
I find this game incredibly relaxing
I just love being on a course. Playing music in the cart because other players always a few hundred yards away.
Even though using a cart, still walking quite a bit getting good exercise.
Just a couple deadheads hitting a ball around a course not keeping score.
Life is good, love being retired.

I am also playing again on Thursday. Sunday too. This will be the first time I have played three rounds in a week in a long time. I got my first unemployment check so what better to spend it on than golf.

I am still so bored that I just agreed to play golf tomorrow at 3pm. Tomorrow's forcast is 107 degrees at 3pm. At least heat stroke may give me something to do, hospitals are nice this time of year.

I think I'd be using a cart. Somehow women wear full covering burka's in that kind of heat in the Middle East.
