We have 350 million people living here.

European nations with only one-sixth our population have nearly as many dead.

Italy has a population of 67 million and 19,468 dead.

Spain has 47 million and 16,353 dead.

France has 67 million and 13,832 dead.

The UK has 67 million and 9,875 dead.

On the flip side
Shouldn't percentage of deaths correspond with the percentage of population. We aren't even close to that. We are dominating the planet in deaths as our rate keeps going up

Italy also has the highest number
of elderly people in the world,
outside of Japan which has the
most.

Seek and ye shall find.

Deaths / million of population as of today per worldometers.info

US - 62.
Spain - 352
Italy - 322
France - 212
UK - 145
Belgium - 289

And several other countries are higher than the US as well. The MSM just throws out numbers with no context in order to meet their own agenda. TP you always claim to look deeper make an effort.

Perhaps the strain coming from China via Europe is much more deadly than the one from straight China. I don't know if the sleuths have it all figured out, but perhaps an early mutation made one worse than the other. Our largest number of deaths is from the east coast, the highest percentages of death are in Europe. Earlier infection on the left coast but less overall death, which also corresponds with experiences in countries in Asia..

We'll see what the scientists say as they figure more of it out, but the differing strains could be a problem with testing and with the severity of the disease, among other things.

...but as bad as it is, and again ONE death is too many so you don't misquote this statement, do the math:

US = 331,000,000 people, 522,286 infected (0 .1578%), 20,2883 dead (0.0061%)
UK = 67,804,564 population, 78,865 infected (0.1178%, 9,892 dead (0.0146%)
Italy = 60,3560,000 population, 152,271 infected (0.2523%), 19,468 dead (0.0323% dead)
Spain = 46.94 million people, 161,852 cases (0.3448%), 16,480 dead (0.0351%)

In some cases the infection rate is much higher and the "deaths per infection rate" is higher. In the UK the infection rate per population is lower than US, but they are dying at over 11% while in the US only 3.4% are dying. Presumably, the median age is a big factor.

Even a lot of smaller churches have had services for shut-ins. Lots of local stations used to run services on a channel about as long as I can remember. They also run it on radio. Now the internet as well.

I don't understand why they get an exception in some states. Although, I'm sure the virtual collection plate doesn't work as well in person as the real one.

Of course there's a vaccine for swine flu.

Dr. Yass, former Director General of the Health Ministry in Israel, may have confused it with SARS, for which there is no vaccine, seventeen years after it first appeared. Possibly due to the lack of interest in finding one, since SARS-CoV which caused SARS didn't go pandemic. SARS-CoV-2, is the virus responsible for Covid-19.

Deaths per million are the only
stats that mean anything.
