| aceofspades Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 83 Posts: 2019 | So, the "word on the street" is that the Owner is going to announce that everyone needs to take a pay cut The other weird thing that happened was that, in anticipation of today's meeting, all the attorneys were asked to type up a chart detailing their current cases and then provide it to the bookkeeper who will list the amounts owed by each client on the list I handed my list into the bookkeeper who then called and told me I could come grab it from her office - which I did Moments later, she called me back into her office and asked for the list back - she then proceeded to tell me that the amounts owed by each client are the Owner's money and not my money -- I looked at her quizzically as I was unsure if she was joking or serious - I responded by laughing and saying "Oh, so the few hundred thousand owed by all these clients really doesn't go straight to my bank account?" -- she replied seriously saying "I hope you don't really think that - of course this goes to the Owner" |

He explained that he does more work than any two lawyers there and will even be working both days this weekend. The thing about everyone else typing up accounts receivable is so he and the owner can decide where the Protege's raise is going to come from. Sorry ace.
