Happy Fri-Yay!!!

Ever since the morning I emailed about working from home, the Owner has been very cold/standoffish with me - he normally has me come into his office 10 times during the day for various things, calling clients and attorneys, discussing motions, etc. Since Wednesday, he has not called me in once. It is very strange

Hmmmmmmm the Owner's assistant just notified me that the Owner was going to call a client on a case I am working on - so, as I go to walk into his office, he tells his assistant that he doesn’t need me involved — very weird — out in the hallway, I remarked to the assistant that it seems like he is about to fire me - she then said “You, me or both of us” — apparently, he is treating her like s**t today

Oh, I just received a cc: on an email the Owner apparently dictated earlier to an adversary on another case I have been working on — I love being out of the loop — ever since the other day when I was going to stay home and he demanded I come into the office it has been very weird

Ever since the morning I emailed about working from home,

Not weird at all. You disobeyed a
direct order from him about stay
at home Wednesday's. He's trying
to figure out if he can live without
you, don't be surprised at the
outcome. Protoprick has been
whispering in his ear non stop,
I'm sure.

I never like to fire a guy on Friday, I like to make them think about it all weekend, and have them come in on Monday to "let them go".

Protege didn't even bother coming in today - guess he has unlimited PTO

But, the Owner bought us all pizza for lunch in honor of the bookkeeper retiring

It's the small things that keep me here lol

The owner almost begged you to come
back, you go back, and he treats you
like a dog turd stuck to bottom of
his wingtip. Everybody in NYC is insane.

"Michigan Man Who Won $80 Million Lottery Jackpot During Divorce Ordered to Pay Half to Ex-Wife"

I don't think young guys that get married understand what that means. [and I say guys because I don't see women having to pay like I have seen men].

It just doesn't seem that you can actually ever leave them after say ten years of marriage. They will attach themselves to your earnings like a leach, for life. imo

I understand your point but in this case they were still married when he won it. The ruling makes sense to me.
