help me out here....... the business community must be aware of this..... yet he still gets more luxury properties bought and built and staffed...... why is that? Are all the companies that are needed to build his golf course empire in Ireland just plain stupid? what about the construction companies in new Jersey? Everyone is just plain stupid to deal with him but they keep lining up to be fleeced? We are supposed to believe that? Or is it possible there are two sides to every story and maybe the contractors didn't live up to their side of the deal? If it is all Trump, why do all the companies keep coming bsck for more?

You mean when he leases his name to another company and they build and run the company? (He is not actually involved or taking on any debt in the project....)

The reality is he screwed over many contractors multiple times by using Bankrupcy laws to avoid collections and debts....

What on earth is wrong or even unusual about this? It is called "licensing" and happens all the time. It is a smart thing to do, you minimize your risk while still getting a return. Or have you not heard of this concept?

As was said before, there are two sides to every story. The contractors might have done substandard work (mafia companies often did!) Or they might have billed incorrectly to get paid. I used to have to spend a ton of time getting blue chip companies to pay me, if you did not bill just so they would not pay. It is again something that happens all the time. Heck, try to get the US Government to pay you without every i dotted, see how many bills get kicked back.
The President is a fink.

Licensing is common, but its ironic when somebody bills them-self as a builder and actually builds almost nothing in America for years.
(Also another reason he is doing this is because he cannot raise funds for any large projects after AC failures.....)
Of course I have heard of it, but the point is, its misleading. (Just like its misleading to call yourself the greatest writer of all time when your two popular books were written by a ghost writer....)

As for the contractors. The Taj Mahal was an exercise in going into vast debt with no intention of paying it off.... There was no conceivable way for it to become profitable.... It was a planned bankruptcy to skirt debts...

I mean there were several lawsuits settled out of court (and then not paid off because of bankruptcy....) where the claim was Trump committed fraud by representing himself as far more financially viable than he was...... Of course the settlement means Trump never officially was found to have committed fraud, but he settled ("I never settle" -Trump.....)

I just find it ironic how (I don't remember if it was you), but some conservatives on here call people "losers" if they have an unforeseen medical debt that forces them to declare bankruptcy over a couple thousand owed to a wealthy hospital.... But, when a "Billionaire" (possibly) , declares bankruptcy routinely to avoid paying millions to hundreds of vendors and contractors (who all have thousands of employees they need to pay), you worship him like he is some legal genius.....

And, this is just in AC.....

Not at all. Licensing is smart business. Fills in gaps. Like Chick Fil A for college campuses and other places they do not want to operate direct. It’s smart business.

That makes zero sense. Why build it if you will lose your equity in BK?

Are you saying declaring bankruptcy makes a person unfit to be POTUS?

No I am saying he is not a brilliant businessman and did not earn 100% of his money honestly as was claimed.

He did not write his book, has not built anything in Americs in years, and is most successful as a brand. (A good portion of his value is the perceived value of his name....)

The honesty thing is your opinion. What exactly is wrong with building your brand? I seriously do not see what your problem with him is. He did not spend his life getting rich in a government job like Joe and Bernie, a great thing.

Earlier you said why build it just to lose equity?
You also answered your question. His brand.

Which is about the only thing that he has of actual value.
The Taj Mahal was dead from the start, funded with junk bonds....
He knew it would go bust. He wanted to have his name on the largest casino in the world (at the time). It was about branding and nothing else.

Oh, and he tried to use government to seize the land of a retired lady to build a limo parking lot... Which it's safe to assume you also support....
Government is only good for bankrupcy (Chapter 11s only, its sleazy when everyday people reorganize, right?), and for taking land for parking lots for private for-profit buisness....

I am not defending Biden or Bernie. But, Trump is a sleaze who has an endless history of abusive decisions....

I guess you do not remember the 80s but that is how casinos and lots of other things were built. Just a few years before it would have been built by a Teamster loan. Bankruptcy does not help a brand, BTW, so you do not make sense to me here. Same as you do not make sense saying Ferrari is doing bad things by licensing as licensing seems to be a bad thing to you.

Nope, taking private land from one person to give to another is a bad thing. It was a bad SCOTUS decision to allow it. But Chapter 11 is a reality. Many famous people have had a BK or more along the way to making it big. Better than when they wanted to put Robert Morris in prison for going BK.

I don't know anything about Ferrari, nor do I think I have mentioned them.

I don't have a problem with licensing.

You are missing the point, its the blatant lies that everyone knows are lies, but people still believe them... :
"Greatest Builder of All Time" (Hardly even a builder),

"I wrote the best book of all time" (Ghostwritten)

"Largest inauguration crowd of all time" (Factually wrong)

"I have never declared bankruptcy" (Technically true, but highly misleading, his companies did on his orders routinely)

"I know tech better than anyone" (Meanwhile in his second great book, ""Today the computer and technology industries are hot, but that doesn't mean that they won't cool off quickly. It just seems to me that they are overheated, and competition is strong. When I read about all of the different companies producing new computers by the thousands, it seems like a very tough business to me. But then, I don't even know how to turn on a computer ." )
-To be fair he did not actually write the book (something else he lies about). But do you really believe that he knows more about tech than anyone?

He exaggerates and lies regularly.

As for Bankruptcy, I have no idea what case you are referring or who that is.
But, no, unless you intentionally lied on financial forms (which Trump may have, cases were settled out of court...), you should not go to jail for Bankruptcy... But, it should also not be praised, especially when somebody does it routinely because they are terrible at managing companies.....
There is a reason he could not get a legitimate loan for the Taj Mahal, because reputable lenders knew it would go under..... And, they were right..... It was built with bonds (terrible rate bonds...) The Netflix Documentary on Trump's early life does a great unbiased coverage of this....

You are aware that many casinos were built with junk bonds and they were traditionally hard to finance are you not? Watch “Casino” if you have not.

I really do not care if a guy exaggerates. He has plenty to brag about. Self made man built a billions dollars brand. But you think that is bad why again?

Lincoln was just one of several POTUS to have went bankrupt. It means Trump was out in the real world making things happen not living in government or university. That is a good thing.
The President is a fink.
