Here are the latest odds from Betfair

Trump to be impeached in his first term: 67.8%
Trump to leave office during first term: 22.2%

As long as I'm there, here are the Democratic primary odds

Warren: 51.4%
Biden: 17.7%
Sanders: 4.2%
Harris: 3.6%
Yang (yeah!): 4.2%

Let's update those figures, according to the betting market on Oct 29.

Trump to be impeached in his first term: 76.6%
Trump to leave office during first term: 23.3%

As long as I'm there, here are the Democratic primary odds

Warren: 41.0%
Biden: 18.7%
Sanders: 10.6%
Harris: 1.5%
Yang (yeah!): 2.9%

74.7%. Who make up the other 25.3%???

Uh Oh. Brokaw with a monkey wrench.
And he hates Trump.

"The big difference is, however, that they still don’t have what you would call the goods on this president in terms of breaking the law and being an impeachable target for them. They’re gonna start the process, but they don’t have the same kind of clarity that the people who were opposed to Richard Nixon had because it was so clear that these were criminal acts that he was involved in."
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Is the timing of the impeachment process an attempt to make sure all of the sitting Senators are busy during the crucial final weeks of the early primary campaigns?

Is it an attempt to try to push momentum at that point back to Biden while also hoping to just maybe get the target?

...or is the potential coincidence just timing?

I tend to fall in the court of are legislative bodies are incompetent in most instances and they really don't know how to get things done, but it could also be a bit of the above...

It's to divert from the shit
storm that's coming about
the coup to overthrow a
president. Another powerful
book came out yesterday.
Hillary's lawyer Blumnethol
has been trying to stop
it's publication for months.

Just timing
Trump is actually in control of the timing by determining when he wants to commit treason against the loyal opposition
These things take time
We are still in the investigation phase calling witnesses to testify, building the case
These things take time just as the Investigations into Benghazi and by Kenneth Starr which I supported

looks like the Ukraine transcript is phony. Exactly as I suspected
Lets hear the tapes from that secret server

I don't think that there are tapes. I thought the reference to the secret server had to do where the transcript was placed.

This is being run like a grand jury with selective secrecy. It shouldn't be okay with anyone that is being handled this way. I'm fine with the investigation, though I have doubts that they will find anything really worthy of anything more than a political impeachment...more like Clinton than Nixon. Anyway...if you are going to have secret hearings, then have secret hearings. If not, let the sunlight shine.

There are much better folks to run the process on the Democrat side. The choice may come back to bite them.

We'll see how it all turns out.

Republicans really tried to slander a Purple Heart recipient yesterday? I've been out of the loop for the last several days.

I would say I'm surprised by this, but I'm not. I'm not at all surprised by this. This is what the "Grand ol Party" has subjected themselves to. They've completely debased themselves for who...THIS GUY? A guy who faked bone spurs to avoid serving himself?

They should be so proud.

This is how all investigations are conducted
Its building a case
The evidence will be made public. Be patient.
All these hearings are being conducted under the same exact rules the Republicans voted for and John Boehner signed off on
The exact rules republicans are complaining about are the rules they approved.
Its so unbelievable that they are actually having a meltdown with that clown posse move to invade a hearing.
You make the rules, you need to abide by the rules even if you lose power
That's why you see so many republicans not running for re election
Being in the House sucks when you are not the party in power and 2020 aint looking good for the GOP regarding the House
Elections have consequences.

Like the Democrats slandering Tulsi Gabbard?

I am not "for" it in any case. The attack should be on the position, not the person.
