The Trump Impeachment Thread

This sums up today. What does
this woman have to do with an
impeachable crime. She doesn’t
have a tiny bit of any knowledge
having to do with any of the
so-called charges here.

NUNES: Thank you, Ambassador. I’m not exactly sure what the ambassador is doing here today. This is the House Intelligence Committee that’s now turned into the House Impeachment Committee. This seems more appropriate for the Subcommittee on Human Resources at the Foreign Affairs Committee.

In a real trial, the defendant is entitled to a fair & impartial jury.

In a Senate impeachment trial, the 100 Senators are the jurors. How many of those 100 Senators are impartial? None of them.

All of them are biased. All of them are looking out for their own political interests. Their deliberations as a jury are entirely politically calculated. Kamala Harris & Cory Booker & Chuck Schumer & Mitch McConnell & Lindsey Graham & Ted Cruz & Marco Rubio are simply incapable of being anything other than selfish politicians.

The good news for Trump is that the outcome of the Senate trial will not directly lead to his imprisonment or execution. Worst case scenario: he'll just lose his current job and have to return to his private life as a billionaire.

You're right. He is well within his rights to let her go. Just like he's well within his rights to blame her for the Somalia civil war, even if it does make him look like a jacka** and completely uninformed on issues that we expect a POTUS to have command of.
