There was no resurrection, it's nonsense.
There is no book in the NT written by
somebody who actually saw the crucifixion
or saw Jesus walking and talking and
hanging out with his friends. It relies
totally on stories that circulated for
decades before anything was finally
written down. This was such a 'big
event' that nobody even thought to
write about it until the stories had been
so blown out of proportion decades
later that it just had to be recorded.
That it happened that way is obvious.

Just know that you are mistaken.

I'm mistaken that the NT is gathered
together archetypal stories that
were circulating 40-100 years after
the actual events involving Jesus
occurred? No I'm not, you know
better than anybody that's what
happened.
Am I mistaken that the resurrection
never happened? I think it's just
as legitimate as all the other 'back
from the dead' stories that run thru
all the ancient myths and religions.
They never really happened, they
are meant to make a point, not
to be taken as real events.

What's stunning about Xtianity is
all the myth and poppycock
nonsense has to be taken as real
events that really happened
if you want to be a true believer.
If you dare be a member and claim
none it really took place, you're
drummed out in disgrace or worse,
shunned.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

So you think the gospels are not
gathered popular stories of the
time? What are they then. Even
7 letters of Paul are not written
by him. The earliest gospel was
written four decades after Jesus
died, by someone who wasn't
at the actual events. That's as
anecdotal as you can get.

They are written eye witness accounts of the real events that happened.

The entire Bible? Genesis? Who wrote Genesis, and when?

Some really old guy.

No of course I am joking. The Bible is the Inspired Word of God. Genesis is obviously not an eye witness account of creation but it is inspired by the one who created all things to reveal spiritual truths to us. I think Bob was in particular doubting the Gospels as not containing accounts from those who knew Jesus, heard Him, were His Apostles and disciples, and saw the Resurrected Lord.

Hearsay accounts, nobody who knew
Jesus personally ever wrote anything
about it. There isn't even a physical
description of him because nobody
who wrote in the NT never saw him.

Why would you think that? Isn't it more reasonable to think someone just made up a story?

You are injecting the word "reasonable" into a discussion about the Bible - they are diametrically opposed
