In this analogy, no one is to blame except the deranged righties who saw this unqualified moron as someone who could actually make a good President. Don't try to pin your party nominating an insane man-baby on the Democrats.

It's true the GOP and the Republicans running for the nomination didn't do enough to stop trump from hijacking their party. So much for principles.

It's also true that Hillary wasn't the best choice for a candidate. She's very popular with the base, but not that much with voters at large. Come on, she lost the nomination to Obama in 08, AND Bernie was a far stronger challenger than he had any right being.

This is most definitely true. Golden Boy trump is not a Republican. It's disgraceful how eager the GOP is to kiss his ass, given he does not represent their party's core principles.
Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER

Not my fault Republican's couldn't find one better candidate in the primaries out of what, 7 people? You know better.

Don't even try to blame the Democrats.

He did try.

It's insane.

There is a long list of people who are to blame for the mentally ill Oompa Loompa's rise to power, the Dems are not on that list.

There is also NO DISPUTE is that he got elected at least partially because he ran against a terrible candidate. That is the DEMOCRATS fault.

The fact they are in denial of this
is delightful. I used to look at Her
and just shake my head in wonder
that they actually nominated
somebody so totally lacking in
substance, energy, appeal, and
gravitas. She had no policy positions,
no platform, no plan except more
of Obama.

Whatever principled Republicans there were got shoved aside as the party collectively decided to sell its soul in order to seize absolute power. There was a dumpster-load of rationalization that supporting Trump was acceptable as long as it led to that glorious end.

What I find exciting about this is that the Republicans have shoved all of their chips into the center. If their power grab fails, they will be about as popular as the Communist party was in Russia in 1990. No, scratch that. They'll be about as popular as the Communist party was in Eastern Europe in 1990. The cool thing is that to continue the analogy, the Republicans are bluffing. They have nothing to offer the country except to masturbate Joe Sixpack for a little while.

The trigger point will be when some prominent Republican decides to cut Donald loose, most likely in order to shore up a reelection bid. Then the rats will all swiftly abandon ship. What the Democrats have to do is constantly remind voters of those Republicans' overt or tacit support of the Orange One. The Republican Party will then be about as relevant as the Peyote Party.

Does she look the same or have the same name as someone who turned you down for a date long ago, and the hurt still lingers? Because I'm having a hard time figuring out why you think she's the worst human being to have walked this or any other planet. Aside from her being an uppity bitch who had the temerity to try to be President, which is a MAN's job.

And it's risible for you to say that she had no policy positions. Those were available on her website, in great detail.

It's not an insult to call a bigot a bigot, or a stupid person stupid, or a person whose primary motivator in life is hatred a hater. All 62,979,879 Trump voters fall in one or more of those categories. It's a sad but true fact.

Similarly, I would not be insulting Stalin to say he was not a nice person, or that your drunk uncle Dan (the one who "always speaks his mind," as Trump does) has bad manners. Or that Eddie the Eagle was a lousy ski jumper. Facts are facts.
