Ailes is a fat old man - I bet he'll be dead within a couple years. I don't know if these "golden parachutes" are mischaracterized or really as bad as they often sound. Even when a company goes bankrupt it seems some of these things are carried out. How does that do anything but degrade arguments for meritocracy? If you're going to preach a meritocracy you shouldn't have different standards for the rich where they fail and float gently down on their golden parachute. (I realize the profit aspect doesn't directly apply to Ailies, I'm just bitching in general about CEO rewards even when they were failures) "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

Anybody is free to negotiate a golden parachute for themselves, not just CEOs. They are between the CEO and the shareholders, if someone does not like the deal they are free to sell their shares in the firm. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
