Naturally from the 1st century the books that were true were chosen by the whole community.

You can't write stuff like this and
believe it. How would they have
the vaguest idea what was true
or not true. Even today there are
lots of popular stuff that has no
truth to it at all. The early church
had books they liked better
than others and those are the
ones they went with. Truth had
nothing to do with it.

Bob, Jesus did die. He also rose from the dead.

And in doing so in the myth,
wiped out any possibility of
a sacrifice. I'll say it again and
you'll ignore it: Sacrifice always
means giving up something you
know you have no chance of
getting back. I could give a
dozen examples, but you'd just
claim you understand none of
them.

What did god/Jesus give up that
he knew he had no chance of
getting back. What was this huge
gigantic sacrifice that was so dang
big that it wiped clean the slate
of humans forever.

Go ahead, take another stab at it.
But don't feel bad, no other Xtian
has ever been able to point it out
either.

Fair enough, using all the criteria I mentioned earlier the Church established by Christ and from whom the various letters and Gospels were written determined that it was the Holy Spirit that guided them to establish the canon of Scripture.

So, once again, mortal humans made the decision

Yes, human beings guided by the Holy Spirit.

Truth had everything to do with it. They were eyewitnesses to these things and they knew Jesus.

I've given you one about a faithful soldier who believes he will live forever in Heaven and loves his fellow soldiers. He dies for them so they can escape, is that a sacrifice?

God becoming man (permanently, by the way), sharing in the fullness of human life, the joys and sufferings we all go through, and then dying for us with perfect faith, hope, and love in the Father. Is that not a big deal to you?!? He basically does everything Adam was supposed to do and fulfills the law of God perfectly so we are set free through Christ's humanity and divinity from the law and the consequences of death. Is that not huge?!?

The holy spirit and a dollar will
get you coffee at McD's. The
HS by itself will get you nothing.

Yeah, no. Watch this short 5min
video which is just a tip of the
iceberg on what Eherman has
to say on the subject. The 5min
will pass very quickly, just do it.

and then dying for us

You think dying for 36 hours
is a sacrifice? Seriously? When
you were 'fully aware' you were
god/man and knew about the
plan and had a super faith in that
plan? That's a sacrifice to you?
I don't think the word sacrifice
means what you think it means.

Why are you always trying to
dumb down Jesus? You say he was
'fully aware' he was god man.
If that's true, he would be
fully aware that a god cannot die,
a god is immortal. That's the whole
point, even the most uneducated
ignorant bumpkin knows that. But
you want us to believe Jesus was
a dunce in that dept, knowing
full well he was man and god just
baffled him.

Like I've said, you want everything
both ways and you can't have it
that way. Either he absolutely knew
he was god/man or he just suspected
it. He wasn't both at the same time
in the myth.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
