I can't decide if this sounds fishy.

3 guys are going fishing Friday, and they all get beaten and shot dead.

I had to go look at an overseas source to find out where it happened in Florida. Basically, lateral to Tampa, but middle of the state. Lake Streety.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/3-friends-found-mysteriously-murdered-on-fishing-trip/ar-BB16UMwN?ocid=spartan-ntp-feeds

My guess would be something to do with moving drugs through Florida. Deal gone bad, and owed money and didn't pay?

Florida's not generally known as a lenient crime state, so how was this guy still walking free?

The 3 strikes law produced some miscarriage of justice, but TJ Wiggins should have been breaking rocks on a chain gang the next 20 years with that record.

Perhaps 3 strikes with a long mandatory sentence relevant to the crimes (a matrix of original possible sentences) and a review at that time? 4th strike is life without parole but staying clean in prison may give you a chance to get out.

This guy should not have been on the streets.

He hasn’t “won” one yet.

Here’s a good explainer as to why the racist little thug only got peanuts (~$50k) from the Post:

It begins:

So a lot of people seem to think Sandmann won a meaningful amount of money, but every part of this, from the procedural history, the timing, the announcement, the relevant law, all of it confirms Sandmann was paid mere nuisance value.

I am a liberal. But, how is he a racist thug?

He was approached? He was standing there with a hat....

There is no logical reason to call or even assume he was racist. If he was there would not be all of these defamation lawsuits being settled....

I don't think it's humanly possible for someone to be a neocon and a liberal.

I forget the quote from the 60s or 70s but its something like (paraphrasing) : "Neocons are liberals who lost faith with mainstream liberals to get it right on crime and foreign policy".

In any case how am I not liberal? I support gay rights, trans rights, social reform, Medicare for all, UBI. But, yes I support the police and military. I am probably the most liberal person here, as far as leaning towards socialism.

And, yes that kid did nothing wrong. He has a right to stand in public with a hat, and people chose to approach him. Remeber he was a minor, and was accosted by a bunch of adult males... Imagine if Trump supporters did that to somebody wearing a Biden hat, we would rightfully be upset. The idea that the kid is the bad guy is absurd, regardless of his polical views....
