He's also a fan of BLM, and BLM is a racist hate group. So nothing surprises me about this guy. 🙄 |

No need to. Despite what is known about the man, you remain a self described 'fan' of the perverted racist. Got it. |

I agree As usual, Tanko completely misses the point Humans are complicated. Even Mother Teresa has done things that can be criticized Gandhi is an incredible figure in history. Nobody defeats the British Empire back then Gandhi did. Through peaceful protests and strikes. It worked and I became a fan. I know he is not perfect but I am still a fan People claim Eric Clapton is a racist. I'm still a fan. I still hate racism. I still listen to Eric, especially when he does the blues. Do you support not celebrating Columbus and not glorifying the Confederacy? Don't they both belong in history books, not as a holiday, or the never reformed institution of Confederacy? The confederacy never became a reformed version of itself like the Union. It died as a slave owning government. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

You really believe he drove out the British? Hitler had more to do with that than Ghandi. The British economy was in shambles after WW2. They left India due to financial reasons in 1947. There was no way a few thousand Brits could control nearly 400 million Indians. The flat broke Brits also gave up nearly all their other holdings soon after that, for the same economic reasons. So did France and the Netherlands. Stick to the subject and stop trying to deflect. First Jerry Garcia. Now Mother Teresa and Eric Clapton. You routinely whine ‘why the hate?’ and gripe about racism, then you contradict yourself by being a ‘Ghandi fan’. A perverted racist who let his wife die unnecessarily because of his hatred for ‘alien’ medicine, yet saved his own with it. A man who hated the low caste Dalits, and Blacks, and helped in the violent suppression of the Blacks in South Africa. "The vile traits Gandhi exhibited persist in Indian society at large today—virulent anti-blackness, a blasé disregard for women's bodies, careful myopia around the piss-poor treatment of Dalits. It's not a coincidence that these very strains of Gandhi's rhetoric have been stamped out of his legacy." |

Ok I remain a Gandhi fan and there is nothing you can do about it Happy? I stayed on subject :-) 1st paragraph in Wikipedia "Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (/ˈɡɑːndi, ˈɡændi/;[2] 2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was an Indian lawyer,[3] anti-colonial nationalist,[4] and political ethicist,[5] who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British Rule,[6] and in turn inspire movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. The honorific Mahātmā (Sanskrit: "great-souled", "venerable"), first applied to him in 1914 in South Africa, is now used throughout the world.[7][8]" Great-souled. I'm even more of a fan. He inspired non-violent protests around the world. One of the greats on this planet. I am bending my knee. The ultimate honor. News flash to Tanko. Everybody deflects here chill out. Take a bong hit. Better yet, a vape hit. Coming across as angry simply because I like Gandhi Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Gandhi was a racist egotistical asshat. He hated Blacks, yet some of his own people are as black as coal. He was a woman hater, treated his wife like dirt. Forced young girls to sleep with him naked so he could prove he was celibate. He was non violent, big deal. On every other issue he was a royal ego inflated jackass deluxe. He's a myth, he was nothing like the myth that grew around him. Interesting that Terapined LOVES Black Lives Matter and LOVES Ghandi, who would have hated BLM. Makes no sense. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

He was married at 13 in a joint arranged marriage with a cousin and a brother. No doubt he grew up with some strong influences like the caste system.
