They both suck for golf, and that is why we tend to book the first tee time available. I am always up by 5:30am anyway so I don't mind golfing then. Plus, you still have most of the day available for other activities that the wife plans for you.

My golf partner is cheap, one reason we play the afternoons. I'm cheap too
I don't think I can get him to get up early, he's that type of guy. He's never had to get up early, he owns a couple of small buildings he rents to businesses.
If he did want to play early, I would be up for it, I'm generally up at the crack of dawn because I have to pee anyway

Sadly just a part of getting old. I usually get up twice during the night to pee.

I've heard people say, modern vegas is more humid than old vegas due the introduction of more water/scenic, usage, and so forth.

Was about 15 years ago they started encouraging natural desert landscaping over turning it into suburban greenery.

I sure did think the weather on the Strip was fine over a 100 degrees when I was wearing a long sleeve shirt in the 90s on my first visit.

I do not understand why people in Vegas have lawns instead of zeroscaping.

I love the look of a nice landscaped and manicured yard. Sadly, I have the desert landscaping now. My last house had a beautiful landscaped yard but it cost me over $250 a month to have it maintained. I refuse to do any yard work myself anymore.

No kidding. Move to MI where I
have to mow an acre of yard
twice a week. Where a lush
emerald lawn is natural. You
live where it's natural to have
a yard that looks like a cat box.

I look at one and see so much waste. Even in places not desert I would rather something natural. People spend all kinds of time and money on a lawn but never go on it. That is one big reason the size of front yards has shrunk so much in new developments.

I agree about front yards. I am fortunate to have asmall front yard anda relatively large back yard by Las Vegas standards. Our house is on a cul-de-sac so it is similar to a pie shaped yard. We do use ourback yard for BBQ;s, pool parties, etc. We would never use the front yard because of lack of privacy.

I have not mowed a lawn or sholvelled snow in over 20 years. About 20 years ago I lent a friend my lawn mower and haven't seen it since. I despise any type of yard work and will pay a premium to have someone else do it. I also pay for a pool service and a pooper scooper service. I do nothing in the yard.

I have not mowed a lawn or sholvelled snow in over 17 years.
I now live in a community where the association takes care of yard work
Also have a community pool for 60 units so not a busy pool
I have a small sign in front of my house "Please pick up after your dog" Most residents pick up
