The NBA doesn't seem to care when it's representatives trash the US but care when they make statements about China (Hong Kong)

Ten times coaches and players got political before the NBA kowtowed to communist China

NBA's response to China backlash at odds with league's history

The NBA Forgot That It Has American Fans Too

It's all about the money.

Another one of those street scum killing street scum serial killers. An itinerant ex-boxer now serving life sentences in California roamed the country killing prostitutes and drug addicts (91 apparently) and now the cops and fbi are wasting time closing the books. He is old and feeble so now Texas taxpayers eill pay for his care rather than California taxpayers.

Can't tthey find more important cases to work?

the comparison that got South Park, and previous to that the movie Christopher Robin [2018] took a hit [both banned]

Nice to see that the NBA understands free speech
From Adam Silver

“The long-held values of the NBA are to support freedom of expression and certainly freedom of expression by members of the NBA community, and in this case, Daryl Morey as the general manager of the Houston Rockets enjoys that right as one of our employees. What I also tried to suggest is I understand there are consequences from that exercise of, in essence, his freedom of speech and we'll have to live with those consequences. It’s our hope that for our Chinese fans and our partners in China they’ll see those remarks in the context of now a three-decade if not longer relationship.”

When have representatives of the NBA "trashed" the United States?

I've never heard that as well.
Kudos to the NBA supporting free speech.
The United States is all about free speech. Supporting free speech is supporting the USA.
Soldiers have died to insure our right to free speech. Free speech is as American as baseball

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

An invasive fish species has been spotted in Georgia — and wildlife officials want anyone who encounters it to "immediately" kill the animal, which can survive on both land and in water.
The northern snakehead, native to the Yangtze River basin located in China, was discovered in a Gwinnett County pond earlier this month, according to the state's Department of Natural Resources (DNR), which noted the creatures have been reported in 14 U.S. states.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

"The NBA has been tight-lipped after bending the knee to communist China - which pulled nearly all sponsorship of the league after a now-deleted pro-Hong Kong tweet by Morey resulted in outrage"

Its a business
Of course its about the money
but
The NBA still supports free speech
Sure a lot of sponsors dropped out of last nites game in Shanghai
The NBA lost money last nite as the floor was sanded to remove the sponsors names
Bending the knee would be firing Morey and they are not doing that
Cathay pacific bent the knee and fired a lot of HK supporters. The NBA is not firing anybody
I think China overplayed their card. Still a sell out at last nights game in Shanghai
No way NBA fans in Shanghai were going to miss seeing Lebron James live
More people in China watched the finals then in the USA last year
China is trying to cover up Hong Kong but by creating this NBA crisis, they are bringing attention to Hong Kong
