Nothing screams success like being alone in a basement on a Friday at 1AM posting memes to a website. Well done!

I mean, I don't know where in the world you live, but the hours, on here are several hours off my time. So presumably they are different for his time too. So I pay zero attention to the post time on here. I think it's Pacific time, honestly not sure.

That being said, him being comfortably retired to sit home and post memes all day, kind of does scream success. He literally doesn't have to work or worry about schedules.... It may not scream excitement, but it does scream success, quite literally.

I actually just started a 7 month road trip.
Highlight destinations are Boise, House on the Rock and the Mackinac bridge
Just visited the outside of a fascinating casino
Guy buys a closed casino several years ago
Pays to have it decorated in a Steampunk style a few years ago
Nobody knows when or if this casino will ever open

He is in Vegas/Idaho whatever per his posts. It was 1AM PST and 1AM his time. Memes all day isn't posts in the middle of the night. He can't even afford a new truck. I guess your bar is a lot lower than most on success.

I have no idea his truck situation. But, being comfortably retired is successful to me.

Fanatic on oil changes
150k miles and it runs great
I have the money to buy a new truck but should I?
I was considering closing my position on Nividia and buying a new truck
It's gone up well over 1k% for me. Cash out or will it go higher?

I think keeping vehicles as long as you can is always +EV and buying new vehicles, even when you can afford to is a bad decision. I see zero issue with your situation.

A divorce lawyer who doesn't get shot dead by one of the plaintiffs, is already 90% successful.

I made that up.

(i still remember a lawyer outside a courthouse in Texas running around a very skinny tree while an unhappy husband tried to shoot him)

The Multonomah county courthouse installed security checks after a disgruntled man shot and killed his estranged wife and her female divorce attorney in open court.

Oddly, when I first heard of that it confirmed my interest in family law: go figure....have I a subliminal death wish?

Good one!

I’ve been Ed bashing for a bit recently.

But I’ll stand up for him on this one. He had a good job. Saved well. Planned. And is working on that plan of seeing the country in his motor home. It’s not a plan everyone would want. But it’s working for him. I would define that as a ‘success’.
