Point by point. Trump is not attacking California to defend or not defend the Iran war. You and other TDS addled posters blame EVERYTHING Trump does on ‘deflecting’ from something else Trump has done! It’s really quite remarkable that you can’t realize Trump does stupid stuff because…. Trump does stupid stuff!!! It’s frankly amazing that you always come back to the ridiculous premise that Trump’s sitting eating his Big Macs saying ‘Ok, let’s start a war so they won’t pay attention to the Epstein files’. Or, let’s remove Maduro so people forget about ICE killing Americans’. You are most likely correct about a ‘blue wave’. It really only needs to be a trickle in the House to hamstring Trump. As I’ve said before, if you want to try and find a politician as bull headed and stubborn as Trump it will be difficult, but Hakeem Jeffries will be close! Since most of politics is for entertainment purposes, Jeffries/Trump will be as entertaining as it gets! It’s hard to fathom Jeffries getting a bill passed that Trump will sign! |

I don;t want my President doing stupid stuff. And i certainly don't want him doing stupid stuff that starts a war. Jeffries standing as a bullwark against Donny's legislative agenda? Thank God for Hakeem Jeffries! |

I am not disagreeing. We often talk about what is the ‘endgame’. I’m just saying how ‘interesting’ it will be when the only bills Trump can sign have to be approved by Hakeem. And the only bills Hakeem can get enacted have to be approved by Donald! I don’t see a realistic scenario where Democrats vote for any Tepublican led bill without Hakeem’s permission. Nor do I see there being enough votes to override a veto, and that even presupposes the Senate would pass any Democrat bill. Get ready for a faux two year government shutdown! |

The Republicans can join dems in promoting policies that help the economy Republicans used to be for the free market setting all prices Republicans have moved extreme right supporting the govt setting prices due to Trump They can easily come to their senses and go back to free market principles I know it's hard Due to DDS, Republicans like soopoo support illogical tarriffs because of Dem hatred They hate Dems more then they love the economy Maybe we can get Republicans and soopoo to support policies that raise all worldwide stock markets |

Simpletons say ‘tariffs bad’. By your reasoning, all taxes are bad, too. We have to fund the government somehow. There’s NO REASON tariffs can’t be part of the overall government revenue stream. Do I think the way Trumphas imposed/canceled/altered/threatened tariffs has been good? NO! The government setting prices? Are you referring to Mamdani and rents in NYC? Or Mamdani and grocery prices in his city owned stores? Or Medicare determining the EXACT price I can charge for your anesthesia? You think government determining prices is more Republican than Democrat? Really? |

Ed, if this was WoV, you’d be suspended! You edited out the part of my post where I SPECIFICALLY delineated the reasons Trump is NOT the guy to use tariffs appropriately! Then you have the audacity to say I’m for Trump’s tariffs. So I’ll be clear. Tariffs are not automatically an inappropriate way to raise revenue. The overall instability of the way Trump starts/stops them, raises them/lowers them, weaponizes them, and generally misrepresents them, is not the way to use them. Ed, but I will disagree on your automatically saying you’d believe an economist over SOOPOO, as an example. So much depends on the bias/motivation of the economist you are using. You don’t think I can find a dozen ‘economists’ that will laud Trump’s tariffs? You trust the ‘scientists’ that RFK Jr. uses? You trust someone who calls himself a ‘roulette expert’ on our sister site? |

The only roulette expert anyone should ever trust is the one who says to never ever play it, since the only way to win money is to steal chips from the table when the dealer isn't looking. |
