Oh? Trump say he's doubling it to fifty per cent because the PM of Ontario had the balls to impose a 25% tariff on electricity sent from Ontario to the USA: Canada did this only after the orange oaf strated the ware by announcing a 25% tariff. I find it so hysterical that the thin skinned clown in the white house cannot take a dose of his own medicine. |

Also affecting the stock market is big corporations can no longer suck at the tit of the government for all that free money their buddies in Congress give them. Everything that looked so wonderful in the stock market was really just the United states heading for the inevitable cliff of bankruptcy. The free money supply has to be cut off and that means corporations are going to suffer and investors in corporations are going to suffer. The stock market is way way overvalued and everybody knows it but when it gets corrected everybody cries their eyes out anyway. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I just looked at 3:45 p.m. and it's down under 300. So people are starting to buy again, oh no. Anybody who looks at the stock market on a day-to-day or even month-to-month basis is a moron. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

This is why smart businesses don't get involved in divisive politics Smart businesses want to appeal to the biggest possible customer base. It's good for business Musk ain't that smart |

Should have invested in Gold. It is up quite a bit since then. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Hmmmmm Between when President Trump “took the reins” on Jan 20, 2025 and the date of your post, Mar 13, the DJIA is down about 4.5%, S&P 500 is down about 7% and the NASDAQ is down about 10.8%. So if you are down $20,000 since President Trump “took the reins” and your portfolio performed similar to the NASDAQ, your investments are worth approximately $185,000, if similar to the S&P 500 the number is approx $285,000 and if similar to the DJIA the number is approx $445,000. Wow, for someone who has bragged about how successful he has been, I am not impressed at all. P.S. Yes I know that you said that you are down "more" than $20,000, which would result in a larger investment worth. If your loss was $30,000 the numbers would be approx $273,000, $425,000 or $670,000 (still not impressive) |
