"Pardon Me..."

I can't wait to see how the USSC handles Biden pardoning himself; will they please Trump and deny the request or allow it? Trump may be having mixed thoughts about the issue given the fact he'll probably want to pardon himself...what if the USSC says a president cannot do that? |

I’ve heard the discussion before but have never seen a single person quote any precedent one way or another to base it on? I think someone would have quoted at least one founder saying something, “but not the President” or whatever. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

Those individual's are in real danger of having their due process and civil rights violated by the incoming or subsequent administrations, haven committed no crimes. I have a major problem with pardoning some or all of the Jan 6 defendants and convicts for their crimes-alleged and charged. I might have a problem with Joe pardoning himself-there is no evidence that passes and due process standard that he's committed any Federal crime, but that won't stop MAGA from trying to put him on trial. I ahve a problem with the incoming Presdient pardoning himself once he assumes office-he knows he knowingly did wrong. But, the President gets the power to pardon-period. He can get drunk off his rocker and sign the pardon and it's still valid. He can take a bribe and the pardon is probably still good. |

I haven't done any legal research on the matter but it seems to me that, logically enough, the president should be barred from pardoning himself, the same as a trial judge cannot decide his own guilt or innocence in a trial he presides over. |

Funny you did not have this position when the lawfare cases against Trump were proceeding. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Because there was no serious allegation that those cases violated his due process or civil rights. Even Judge Cannon said so. |
