Good question about ‘the line’ on the blatant disregard for the emoluments clause. I just don’t think it would be good for the country to go after Trump for it right now.

The ‘cover the cost of the program’ tends to be a lie. Many fees are just a form of taxation with no ties to the actual costs involved.

Agree on the ‘stability’ part, but the stock market is of course so multi factorial that all we really post are guesses as to causes of its ups and downs. Just my point is that despite all the bad things (supposedly) Trump has done the market is up a bunch from the day he was elected.

The cut your own farm nearby has a limited supply on sale for less than a precut. If you aren't there by the noontime Sunday after Thanksgiving, you've missed it. He keeps a bunch of pre cut trees-some from Maine and some from Canada, which he sells at market rate.

As for fee recovery, as a long time DEA registrant, I'm sure you are aware that the Controlled Substance Act allows the DEA to charge a reasonable fee for registration and control activities, and that-by law-DEA must set fees at a level that ensures the full recovery of the costs of operating the various aspects of its Diversion Control Program? Or is this another one of these "I don't know" from you. On this, you are talking out of your a$$.

As for the stock market, it could care less who is President. The market performed better under Clinton and Barack. But it dropped under Bush 2 and the recession under Bush 1 cost him reelection.

In the 90s they tried to find a "liberal Limbaugh" and it sort of led to the "Air America" money pit.

They do not realize that this kind of thing needs to be organic. Limbaugh was popular because people listened to him working at or driving for some sort of job. He had years of making his bones as a DJ, where he pointed out that you had to be good because anyone can play the same songs. Liberals thought that if you just give enough push to someone then people will listen.

Podcasting is even tougher. On radio you usually had some training and selection. Anyone can start a podcast--and that is what makes them great. No filters. They get built by word of mouth for the most part.

Same liberals are spending $20MM to figure out how to talk to men.
