To be fair, a Former and possible reelected President being shot should have STILL been REALLY big news. Hell, George Floyd, a normal every day guy getting killed by a Police Officer got a LOT more attention than Donald Trump being shot. 💡

Of course they will still deny he is a Republican and say it is some leftist conspiracy to kill Trump. I think it is pretty clear he is a Republican. Why he wanted to kill Trump? Who knows.... maybe he thought he was not strong enough, not a real Republican, maybe he did not like him encouraging the blocking of the border security enhancement, maybe he was just crazy and would have shot any famous person he could, and Trump just happened to be the first in the area..... Who knows, but clearly a Republican.

They're showing a new released video when the police officer discovers someone on the roof. I see analyst making something of the guy saying "we told secret service they needed someone on that roof".

That doesn't really convince me, because I see that kind of behavior on accident videos. The last one I watched a couple weeks ago (Maybe I can find it again) the guy in the car in front after driving into the other lane immediately gets out asking why the driver with the dash cam who wasn't at fault drove into his lane.

I think it's sometimes a self-defense mode when something goes wrong. They immediately start blaming someone else as in, "I didn't do that, why did you do that?" It really sounded like that kind of behavior.
