I'd believe the woman we saw right next to Trump, who seemed to be well trained and know what she was to do, maybe was qualified to get the job. How many people assume she is not qualified because of the DEI priority?

There’s another possibility. While you’d probably not want to be a brain surgeon in training’s first surgery, he has to do one eventually. You put someone in with experienced people, but you have to put them in eventually. The person who is currently President is likely going to get the A team, Then the Vice. Then the nominee. And so forth. I assume.

But I still don’t know that she is actually doing something she’s going to be penalized for.

Other than being unable to holster her weapon under stress, she didn't do anything wrong. At worst, she needs more time practicing her quick draw and holstering under stress. There is no indication she used improper weapon discipline. That being said:

Alligators have extremely strong muscles used to close its mouth around prey: almost 3,000 psi. But the muscles to open its mouth are relatively weak, so alligators can't open their mouths as quickly compared to closing their mouths. I guess, to an alligator, closing it's mouth quickly and with force is more important than opening it's mouth.

I would argue, to a LEO, being able to unholster your weapon quickly is less important than being able to holster your weapon as quick.

Something just occurred to me about that Secret Service Director (now former) non-answers, seeming to know little, or saying everything was under investigation.

I bet she consulted a lawyer. Or had a lawyer friend. You know what they tell you to do if you're under oath and no lawyer and you're in trouble. It would have been unseemly to show up with a lawyer, so she did the next best thing. She probably knew she was getting fired anyway. I don't know if there is liability for the civilians who were shot, but I could see definitely worrying about that.

IDK what duty she owed to the civilians present. Indeed, the Supreme Court has ruled more than once that a LEO has no duty to protect a person from harm, absent a special relationship.

Could be it was early in the investigation and she didn't want to misspeak. Could also be she was using non-answering answers. Or could be she was a friggin' idiot.

Much censorship goes on, you have to know that. Try to find a photo of the shooter that isn't blurred out for his head. Yes, I know why they do it and it isn't nefarious. Just an example

The only people who assumed they got the job but weren't qualified are people who assume that anyone but them are the only ones who are qualified.
