The Gazans kidnapped the hundreds of Israelis from that music festival so they could have and use leverage against the Israeli government. They did use that leverage to get thousands of Palestinian criminals released from Israeli custody. But now with their leverage decreasing, holding only two dozen left alive, Israel is turning the tables on who has the leverage. Apparently four Hamas leaders killed yesterday in Israeli attacks. And 400 other dead Gazans. I’m sure some were Hamas but many just nearby citizens. Gazans can decide if holding the 24 Israelis (and 35 corpses) is worth it. If they don’t return the hostages, what do they think will happen next? Taking hostages has consequences. Do I feel sympathy for the 24 living hostages and their families? Of course. But capitulating with the terrorists can never really be a good idea. I’ll bet we read about some terrorist attacks committed by some of the thousands of released Palestinians in the future. |

My assumption is that the Gazans actually responsible or holding the prisoners will meet their fate by the hands of Israel no matter if they release them or not. Israel tends to hold grudges and will dedicate 20 years to hunting down those responsible. BTW, I am all for it. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Cue the next article bemoaning how many Yemeni ‘women and children’ are killed during Israel’s expected retaliation. Send a missile from your country into my country……. when you can’t adequately defend your country…. and see the results. |

Arrest and put them on trial Just don't go on a revenge mission killing those you think are responsible Israel has gone on revenge missions killing innocent people. Ahmed Bouchikhi is a perfect example A totally innocent person executed by Israel https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lillehammer_affair The Lillehammer affair (Hebrew: פרשת לילהאמר, Parshat Lillehammer, Norwegian: Lillehammer-saken) was the murder of Ahmed Bouchikhi, a Moroccan waiter and the brother of the French musician Chico Bouchikhi,[1] by Mossad agents[2] in Lillehammer, Norway, on 21 July 1973. The Israeli agents had mistaken their target for Ali Hassan Salameh, the chief of operations for Black September. Six of 15 of the Mossad team were captured and convicted of complicity in the killing by the Norwegian justice system in a major blow to the intelligence agency's reputation. |

I believe to ‘arrest’ someone presently not in your country you need to extradite him first. You think the terrorist government of Gaza is letting Israel extradite their criminals to face trial in Israel? Think how many ‘civilian’ Gazans are complicit in hiding the hostages. Israeli Mossad agents killed an innocent guy? Good that they faced the music. |

| SOOPOO Member since: Feb 19, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 5746 | As predicted by SOOPOO, the missile that got through the Israeli defenses and landed in a field near Ben Gurion airport has led to Yemen NOT HAVING a functional airport. I wonder if the Yemeni leaders consider what the expected response to their folly would be? Supposedly after we Americans blew up some stuff there the Houthis are now saying they won’t attack the vessels that sail nearby. No one will want to give Trump credit, but do you think President Harris would have finally forcefully gone after the rogue Houthi’s? Biden sure didn’t. |

I don't think you can even say that is an opinion, it's pretty much a fact I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |
