So true, I was talking to some Mexicans earlier this week, and they were part of some Hispanic Trump group that was convinced Trump would be better for them because they were promised through the group that there would be some Reagan-eque policy of amnesty.

Obviously, this is not true, and now they are panicking that there are militant deportations around the City and are stressing about relatives who are not here legally (they were.) But, I am just boggled that these groups are this stupid that think Trump was going to save them despite saying exactly what he was going to do....

You are ignoring the millions of immigrants who came here legally, waited their turn, followed the rules, who are now happy that the ones here illegally are being shown the door. They were not fooled by Trump. They want what Trump is doing. Wife’s good friend is from Mexico. She is a huge Trumper. (Big strain on their relationship).

Back to Israel. A few more hostages released. Is there anyone who thinks Israel doesn’t level what’s left of Gaza once the last hostage is released? Maybe when there are a few left as it will give cover…. ‘We were doing everything possible to free the hostages. And try to minimize civilian casualties’. If this is what is needed to destroy Hamas, go for it!

That is definitely true as well sadly (even legals will still be impacted, because let's be real we all know when ICE is doing their raids, anyone who looks Hispanic is going to be gobbled up, they are not going to be as worried about people who look white. -And, I am not saying that is racist by the way, if your list of targets are all known Hispanics, obviously you are not going to waste time detaining white people, same reason I do not believe profiling is always bad, because you often are looking for a specific racial background, it just is what it is. - )

However, I am referring to groups of people I know who legitimately were convinced Trump would come in and do some Reagaen-eque mass amnesty for immigrants. And, were talking about how only Republicans do such mass amnesty and pardons (well Trump is doing mass pardons, but not for those types of people....) Which, you would have to be idiotic to think Trump was going to float into office and do a mass pardon/amnesty for immigration violations. Like being aggressive on immigration was his main thing....

As for Israel, I do not know about leveling, but I think they will go back to the pre-2005 era of occupying it (not just walling it off and trying to forget about it as they have.) And, frankly, I do not blame them, if I was Israeli I would want Gaza to be occupied and monitored from within. I think Gaza lost any hope it had of being fully independent again. And, this is probably good, Gaza has been terrorist run since Hamas won one election 20 years ago and now just murders their opposition, even if I was Gazan I would prefer Isreali rule.

Dang, Trump is now saying the U.S. will take over Gaza, and clear it out. I sure hope all of those Palestinian for Trump movements are happy with their results after feeling Biden was too mean....

Gaza is a pile of rubble now. Unless there is a MASSIVE DONATION of funds from outside countries, they have NO ABILITY to rebuild the garbage dump it now is. You want to let the Palestinians move back to the detritus that used to be their homes? What is the endpoint of this? I for one hope we do not get involved in that shithole to the extent Trump wants to. I want ZERO US tax dollars allocated to help rebuild Gaza

Best thing is to do it post-WWII style. Evacuate Gaza to Egypt and Jordan then let Israel have it. Sort of like they did with East Prussia. Israel could make it a sort of Monaco East.

What I want does not matter, I want to point out that Palestinian groups campaigning against Biden/Trump got what they asked for. And, they do want to be let to move back in.

Personally, I tend to think Gaza should be dissembled, so I have mixed feelings. But, the U.S. should not annex it. If Israel should annex it or if a new country should be formed, I don't know. It's complicated for sure.
