I figure Netanyahu has no trouble being the main focus of ill will among his neighbors. Israel is not weak. We can afford to stay behind the scenes more than in front. For now anyway.

Looks like the President of Iran died overnight in a helicopter crash.

Though it is a bit confusing, because the President is not the top government official, it is actually the Supreme Leader (who is the truly crazy one, if the name did not give it away.) So, this may actually be a negative, if the Supreme leader loses somebody who checks some of his actions.

He attempted to assassinate former Sec. of State Mike Pompeo and other US officials. He was a mass murderer who terrorized his own people and killed thousands of political prisoners, holding five-minute trials before sending to execution squads.

the very sad thing if you believe the Biblical account, and even if you don't; is that it's certainly true that Jews and Arabs are cousins

In the Biblical account Abraham, the first Hebrew patriarch fathered 2 sons, Isaac and Ishmael

Isaac is also revered by Muslims because along with Ishmael he continued their father's spiritual journey thru the preaching of the message of Allah (the Arab word for God) after the death of Abraham

Ishmael is recognized by Muslims as the ancestor of several northern Arab tribes and the forefather of Adnan who was the ancestor of Muhammad

Muslims believe that Muhammad was the descendent of Ishmael who would establish a great nation and according to Islamic doctrine he was divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Abraham, Moses and others

in Deuteronomy from the Old Testament it is written " The Lord is One"

in the Quran it is written "He is God. The One."

I believe you are referring to the Nuturei Karta and the Satmar Hasidim

my understanding is that both of these groups believe there should be no Israel until after the coming of the Messiah

their numbers are comparatively pretty small - combined I think around 100,000

the world population of Jews is about 16 million

but these groups are very vocal and very in your face - and may give the impression that this point of view is much larger than what it actually is

but criticism of Israel from Jews_________?____________that is very, very common___________there is a tremendous amount of disagreement among them

talking down Netanyahu and his policies is definitely a thing for a great many Jews
