Mandatory bibles in the schools is some Taliban level stuff.

There already are religious classes, and history classes in HS that implement a Bible.

There is no role for a Bible in a science class, and the mandate of having at least one in each faculty desk and Bible inspections is some straight Taliban nonsense.

Almost as Taliban as tearing down statues that you do not like, eh?

The two-mandatory Bibles in public schools and removing public statues-is comparing apples and bowling balls.

Statues honor people in society, if a local community wants a statute removed for whatever reason, that is their right. Personally, this is not something I support, even when the person is terrible, because I like weird history. But, regardless, there is no way this is even relatable to forcing teachers to have bibles at a public school (and this is across the whole state, not some random town with 12 people....)

I think they get around it by, if the funds are privately funded, meaning it doesn't come out of the government kitty.

If taliban behavior is going to be pointed out I’m going to point it out also.

How many statues did the Taliban take down since retaking power? Yes I am aware in the 90s where they did some stuff with Buddhist statues, but I mean currently.

Yes, I don't like either. But, I have a feeling that you like one of those. I mean the idea that secular country since the 1700s, has to have mandatory religious texts, and inspections at anytime in public (gov funded) classrooms is absurd.

These will be enforced by the school board, so a combo of state and local dollars. This will be in no way privately funded.

We are not an atheist country. Far more absurd stuff is forced on kids. But my point is if you want to call out something as taliban you had better be prepared to be called out on it.
