(1) This outcome was predicted by all who follow the issue. I feel sad and compassionate for those who have gone through this.

(2) This is indicative of who actually receives abortions. It isn't indiscreet or irresponsible woman who are pregnant while an inconvenient pregnancy. It's mostly women whose pregnancies are incompatible with the baby's life or incompatible with the mother's health or life.

(2) This is what the voters and women in Texas wanted. This is what they voted for when they voted for Republicans in national, state and local elections. Did they think that GOP politicians would leave abortion alone? Did they think they could trust GOP politicians? The GOP shows themselves to be perfidious liars, especially when it comes to women. They can't say they weren't warned.

You can’t POSSIBLY believe that. No way. It is a very small minority of women that get abortions because of an incompatible with life fetus or a maternal health issue. I have participated (anesthesiologist) in hundreds of abortions and remember the VERY FEW that fit the criteria you mention. They were particularly sad, and I felt good that I could help. (Most ‘regular’ abortions are done with just local anesthesia).

We need more abortions in this world. Too many babies born to too many dumbasses.

I support any woman who wants an abortion simply because she doesn’t want to have a baby.

Yes I do believe that, especially for late term-past 20 weeks-abortion. As always, anecdotal experience means little.

I am in the pro abortion camp. In my mind an abortion should the default option until you can prove you are mentally and financially able to take care of a child.

Here is the problem with this. Pro-abortion pols like Obama say things like, "a woman should not have her life burdened with a child." Such women used to go the adoption route. Better for all involved. But these days the pro-abortion side gets angry if you even suggest that. The whole "shout your abortion" thing which I have posted here also contradicts it quite a bit.

I ask the pro-abortion side here. Would they support selective abortions if we could determine the child would be gay?

Yes. If a woman is bigoted and stupid enough to not want a gay child, she would be better off not giving birth to one. Saves everyone a lot of pain and suffering.

No, I have no idea who you are referring to. I don't care about what others think of my opinion. I have been involved in many abortions, probably less than Soopoo.
