Yes. If a woman is bigoted and stupid enough to not want a gay child, she would be better off not giving birth to one. Saves everyone a lot of pain and suffering.

Any more brain busters for us?

We shouldn't force women to remain pregnant if they don't want to be. Period. I'm willing to keep abortions within the first trimester. I think that's a reasonable time to decide yes or no. Just like we had it with RvW, when it wasn't restricted beyond that.

Another factor. Pro-life 'victory' now allows full term babies to experience all comforts of all senses fully working when they die. Late term abortions were always problematic in there is no real argument that a month or so before full term, senses are developed.

Now pro-lifers are ensuring ones doomed to die from a fatal condition after birth are fully capable of suffering.

Jerusalem — Israel's Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled unanimously that the military must begin drafting ultra-Orthodox men for compulsory service, a landmark decision that could lead to the collapse of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's governing coalition as Israel continues to wage war against Hamas in Gaza.

The historic ruling effectively puts an end to a decades-old system that granted ultra-Orthodox men broad exemptions from military service while maintaining mandatory enlistment for the country's secular Jewish majority. The arrangement, deemed discriminatory by critics, has created a deep chasm in Israel's Jewish majority over who should shoulder the burden of protecting the country.

Paris Hilton, the American socialite and media figure, has told a congressional panel looking into strengthening child welfare protections that she was “force-fed medications and sexually abused by staff” while she was institutionalized as a teenager.

Hilton, an outspoken advocate for better protections for children in youth facilities, told the House committee on ways and means on Wednesday that she had been “violently restrained and dragged down hallways, stripped naked and thrown into solitary confinement”.

The 43-year-old has previously described how she was subjected to “a parent-approved kidnapping” at four different youth facilities as her parents searched for solutions to her rebellious behavior and “fell for the misleading marketing of the troubled teen industry”.

She has characterized the “tough love” teen course-correction business as a $50bn industry that includes therapeutic boarding schools, military-style boot camps, juvenile justice facilities and behavior-modification programs.

On Wednesday, the reality TV star said she found her institutional experience “isolating and traumatic” and that she had been prevented from alerting her parents to what was happening because phone calls were monitored.

Oklahoma putting Bible history in schools. They must be smarter there.

If done correctly putting it in as history won't violate Church & State. Not actual Bible history, but where religion played a part in the US.

edit -seems to be reported different ways. If they are just putting the Bible in schools and teaching it, that's a stretch calling it anything but a violation.

New regulation requires every classroom in the state from grades 5 through 12 must have a Bible and all teachers must teach from the Bible in the classroom, according to the state school superintendent.

Don't know if I see a role for the Bible in science class, or foreign language class, or math class. Possible see a role for it in certain history classes, if taught properly. Can see a role in literature classes, if taught properly. But, to mandate a Bible in each classroom? To teach from it?

History of Religion is a valid history class. My public high school had it as a choice of social studies class you could take. I did not take it but the teacher was in another class one day and explained how the Hare Krishnas worked. Was interesting.

Mandatory bibles in the schools is some Taliban level stuff.

There already are religious classes, and history classes in HS that implement a Bible.

There is no role for a Bible in a science class, and the mandate of having at least one in each faculty desk and Bible inspections is some straight Taliban nonsense.

Probably because we are having less kids so we don't need as much space.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.
