Which part of US law is based on not having graven images of God? Or that there is only one God?

The House recently passed legislation which allows the U.S. government to automatically register men ages 18 to 25 into the Selective Service, or draft system.

The Senate now has the bill, but the Senate Armed Forces Committee wants draft eligibility to be extended to women. Which makes sense.

Senate Democrats Jon Tester (D-MT) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV) have added language to the annual defense authorization bill to require women to register for the draft.

Senate Armed Services Committee, Jack Reed (D-RI), defended the proposed policy change - arguing that women can hold many warfighting positions without serving on the front lines.

"It’s not like World War II where we need a lot of infantry. We need cyber experts, we need intelligence analysts, linguists, etc. Wait a second, there are a lot of women out there that can do this better than men," Reed continued.

Republican Senators are opposed. Calling it 'insane' and vowing to strip the language from the bill.

I do not get how they will “automatically “ register them as the point of registration is to get a good address and other info. That is why the process. Now, the bigger issue though is something I have said here before. Recruitment is down and getting harder. So much so that while not talking about the draft yet the thinking heads are discussing when we might have to and the form it might take. This bill seems to be a signal that is happening.

I could see us looking at emulating France and making a foreign legion in a few decades.

I’d assume it wasn’t necessarily easier to find people when registration process used to exist before, They can get to your SS number though. With that, they can keep a look out for you if you fail to register, Short of living at your parent’s house forever, or being homeless they will likely catch up with you eventually.

The point of the modern system was to avoid “eventually” and make it faster. Idea that in event of war weeks could matter.

Through the transfer of currency (IRS & Banks).

So since 1913. Then the war, then the Spanish Flu, then the 1929 crash and so forth.

Follow the money.

There's another new technology.

It has to do with graphene, WIFI towers, and 9 * 2 billion human eyeballs.

You can use those terms for a search, but try to go outside the normal search params.

Much is done in public schools that has no place there. At least this gives a healthy message.

I do not disagree with the message: it is what kids should be taught.

But...they should not be taught that in public school via a Judeo / Christian religious poster of the Ten Commandments.

"Separation of Church and State" is the fundamental bedrock of our Republic.
