Like Trump's taxes, it doesn't mean enough to his real supporters. So, no reason to do it. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

The only nominee in Biden's mind needs to be Obama. Would be a great Supreme Court Justice, and a great way to go full circle (appointing him to a position). The only problem is he is probably enjoying Camels and ale too much in retirement to want to come back into public scrutiny, I wouldn't blame him for enjoying privacy, but he would make a great justice. |

Ex-Presidents have a pretty good deal. They have plenty of people calling on them to do gigs, speeches or support causes if they want to do them. Everyone who wants to see them probably likes them. They can make their own schedules and plan their own breaks. Hard to beat that. Even a billionaire like Trump will never experience the power like a President has. He never had people who could clear the streets for him if needed. Order an army. Be the most significant individual at every event anywhere. If Obama did it, it would be because he really really likes doing that, I imagine. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

Exactly, and without the kind of public scrutiny that presidents experience. It would be reasonable for most not to want to give that up. But, I still think he would make a great justice. |

No way. Obama would never give up his celebrity millionaire lifestyle for a real job. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

The problem with that suggestion is that the only appropriate position for an ex POTUS would be Chief Justice. Associate Justice is simply not prestigious enough. While David Souter retired months before his 70th birthday, John G Roberts is very unlikely to want to retire before at least 7 years have passed so he can at least be the 3rd longest serving Chief Justice. There is also a chance he will serve another 20 years so that he is the longest serving Chief Justice. | Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 148 Posts: 25978 | Has anybody else noticed three big mainstream Libs are very skeptical of Joe Biden winning. Michael Moore, Bill Maher, and Chunk Yogurt, whatever his name is, from The Young Turks, are all saying Trump might win by a bigger margin than he did in 2016. They're looking at the enthusiasm factor, which was totally ignored 2016. Trump's base is extremely fired up, Biden's cannot be found. That's the only poll you need to look at. Enthusiasm is why Clinton beat bush in 92. Enthusiasm is why Obama won 08. Enthusiasm is why Trump will win 2020. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

What on earth would make any sane person thing Obama is qualified to be on SCOTUS? ZERO judicial experience. Very partisan. He is everything you do not want in a judge. I do not get what it is with Obama's fans. I remember one I met saying he should have been the VP pick of whoever got the nomination. That he was ineligible did not matter to the guy. Obama's time in the sun is done. Get over him. Find a new cult of personality for your side. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
