That one reminds me of a SNL spoof of Kerry and the Iraq War. The actor said, "What you do not understand was yesterday I was talking to an anti-war crowd, today I was talking to a pro-war crowd!" Same with Biden. He cannot take a position without pissing off a huge number of his base. The President is a fink. |

Point is, Pelosi is even more spaced out than Biden. My grandma at 80 was knitting in a rocking chair, not holding press conferences where she showed off how confused she was. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Pelosi is asked a question - pauses and then says "Good morning. Sunday morning." The interview had not just started - they were in the middle of it - made no sense WTF? |

Specifics on what he would do that (in some cases) didn't end up happening anyway, so what's the difference? Granted, a good bit had to do with Congress (of course)...although, I don't take it for granted that Trump actually understood how Congress works and what the President actually can and can't do. Who knows where Biden is on anything and what's the difference? It usually seems as though you already know this, but he's basically running on the following platform: I am a person who is not Donald Trump. And, let's face it: For most (Biden) voters, that's going to be good enough. Trump is basically running on, "I am not a Democrat and Democrats will ruin this country." It's really that simple and you can look at this Forum as a microcosm of the American voter. Both sides talk about how much the other guy/party sucks, but you never really hear them pimping how great their guy/party is. I think there are two reasons for that: 1. Some people on the right, for reasons unknown to me, buy so much into Trump's cult of personality that they refuse to acknowledge anything that could even be perceived as a failing. One example (with no offense meant) is when AZ was debating with me back and forth to the extent that Trump did not sell junk bonds to fund the building of his Atlantic City casinos. He totally did, but so what? People who want to build an unproven commodity (especially massive scale) in an unproven market for the commodity sell junk bonds all the time. It's not even like that's a slight of any kind. 2. Because the truth that most people seem not to want to admit is that both Democrats AND Republicans suck, and it's mostly six and a half dozen anyway. Not at all! Trump ran on "Make America Great Again" and what with china virus is running on "do it again!" His platform is less bad regulation, get us out of bad treaties, don't start useless wars, constructionist judges not activist judges. In 3.5 years he has a huge record here to run on. Democrats will ruin the USA, but Trump is not running on that. The President is a fink. |
